TENERIFE: THE SUNNY HOME OF GOLF ENTHUSIASTS

Tenerife is the island with the highest number of golf courses of the Canary Islands. You can find nine of them on the island. One of our favorites is certainly Abama Golf, located beautifully in the west of the island. 22 beautiful lakes, stunning sea views and more than 90.000 palm trees can be found on this dream golf course designed by the golf legend Dave Thomas.

Buenavista Golf is another highlight. The golf course is located next to the ocean and surrounded by the beautiful natural park Parque Rural de Teno. The near ocean, a waterfall and a lake combine perfectly to create a thrilling and challenging experience. The golf course Centro de Golf Los Palos is located in an exuberant garden full of exotic plants and only has 9 holes – a perfect course for beginners!

Tenerife es la isla con el mayor número de campos de golf en las Islas Canarias. En total hay nueve en la isla. Uno de nuestros favoritos es sin duda Abama Golf, que se encuentra en un entorno hermoso en el oeste de la isla. 22 lagos, hermosas vistas al mar y más de 90.000 palmeras convierten a este campo diseñado la leyenda del golf Dave Thomas en un paraíso para cualquier jugador.

Buenavista Golf es otro campo de golf a destacar. Se encuentra cerca de la costa y está rodeado por el hermoso Parque Rural de Teno. El cercano océano, una cascada y un lago se combinan perfectamente para crear obstáculos que deben superar los jugadores. El Centro de Golf Los Palos se encuentra en un exuberante jardín lleno de plantas exóticas y sólo tiene 9 hoyos – ¡perfecto para los principiantes!

Einer unserer Favoriten ist Abama Golf, wunderschön im Westen der Insel gelegen. 22 bezaubernde Seen, eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Meer und mehr als 90.000 Palmen machen aus diesem von der Golflegende Dave Thomas entworfenen Golfplatz ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis.

Buenavista Golf ist ein weiteres Highlight. Der Golfplatz befindet sich direkt neben dem Meer und wird von dem Naturpark Parque Rural de Teno umgeben. Die Nähe zum Meer, der Wasserfall und der See bieten Hindernisse, die ein spannendes und forderndes Spiel gebieten. Der Golfplatz Centro de Golf Los Palos befindet sich in einem üppigen Garten mit exotischen Pflanzen und hat nur 9 Löcher –  der perfekte Golfplatz für Anfänger!

GRAN CANARIA: 8 STUNNING GOLF COURSES

Gran Canaria has 8 wonderful golf courses to offer. In the south of the island next to the golden sand dunes of Maspalomas and the sparkling blue ocean, you will find a green oasis full of palm trees. The golf course Maspalomas Golf was designed by Mackenzie Ross and even on the hotest summer days you will feel fine on the course due to the refreshing breeze that comes from the ocean. Quite close you will find Meloneras Golf, with beautiful mountain and sea views and where the difficulty increases with every hole

The Salobre Golf Resort offers two magnificent golf courses. A great contrast is created by the lush green vegetation of the golf course and the surrounding arid landscape with majestic hills and a few cactus plants. The Old course has a beautiful lake and is more popular as it is the easier one of the two courses, but if you are ready for a challenge you should play on the New course too. Other great golf courses can be found in the north of the island: Real Club de Golf Las Palmas and El Cortijo Club de Campo.

Gran Canaria cuenta con 8 campos de golf. En el sur de la isla junto a las dunas de arena dorada de Maspalomas y el azul océano, se encuentra un oasis verde lleno de palmeras. El campo de golf Maspalomas Golf fue diseñado por Mackenzie Ross e incluso en los días más calurosos del verano se sentirá muy bien en el campo de golf debido a la refrescante brisa que viene del océano. Muy cerca se encuentra Meloneras Golf, con vistas a las montañas y al mar, y donde la dificultad aumenta con cada hoyo.

El Salobre Golf Resort ofrece dos magníficos campos de golf. La frondosa vegetación del campo de golf contrasta con el árido paisaje circundante, donde solo crecen algunas plantas de cactus. El campo de golf Old tiene un hermoso lago y es más popular, ya que ofrece menos dificultad, pero si te encantan los retas también deberías probar con el campo de golf New.  Otros buenos campos de golf los puedes encontrar en el norte de la isla: Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas y El Cortijo Club de Campo.

Ganz in der Nähe befindet sich Meloneras Golf mit einem schönem Blick auf die Berge und das Meer und wo die Schwierigkeit sich mit jedem Loch erhöht.

Das Salobre Golf Resort bietet zwei herrliche Golfplätze. Die üppige grüne Vegetation des Golfplatzes bietet einen starken Kontrast zur umliegenden kargen Landschaft mit ihren majestätische Hügeln und Kaktuspflanzen. Der Golfplatz Old hat einen schönen See und ist beliebter, aber wenn Sie bereit für eine Herausforderung sind, dann sollten Sie auch den Golfplatz New ausprobieren. Andere gute Golfplätze finden Sie im Norden der Insel: Real Club de Golf Las Palmas und El Cortijo Club de Campo.

FUERTEVENTURA: VOLCANOES AND GREEN GOLF COURSES

With 5 great golf courses Fuerteventura really can keep up with Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Two golf courses, that use the wind to create a more challenging experience, are the golf course of Salinas de Antigua and the Fuerteventura Golf Club. The Fuerteventura Golf Club designed by Juan Catarineu is the biggest golf course of the island and features three lakes as well as stunning sea views. The golf course Salinas de Antigua is beautifully designed with sand dunes, lakes and endemic flora.

If you think that most golf courses are too easy for you, then Playitas Golf is perfect for you. The architect John Chilver-Steiner has created a golf course that is a real challenge for every handicap and where you have to think twice in order to avoid errors. If you prefer practicing a little bit more, then the Pitch & Putt Mirador de Lobos Golf is there for you. Here you can also get lessons in different languages and for all levels.

LANZAROTE: TWO FINE LITTLE GREEN GEMS

On this arid volcanic island, golf players will find two little greens gems. Costa Teguise Golf has been beautifully incorporated into the landscape. Located next to an old volcano, it offers stunning ocean views, more than 3.000 palm trees and a challenging design, where you will have to use all your strategies. Lanzarote Golf is located near to the airport and offers beautiful views of the ocean and the island of Fuerteventura. Golf players from every level will have a good time here, although sometimes you might be challenged by the wind. If you prefer to practice a little bit before entering the golf course, you can do it at the Pitch & Putt Hesperia Playa Dorada, just a few minutes from the golden sand beaches of Playas Papagayo.

En esta isla volcánica árida, los jugadores de golf pueden encontrar dos pequeños tesoros verdes. Costa Teguise Golf se incorpora de forma fenomenal en el paisaje. Situado junto a un viejo volcán, cuenta con impresionantes vistas al mar, más de 3.000 palmeras y un diseño desafiante, en el que tendrás que utilizar todas tus estrategias. Lanzarote Golf se encuentra cerca del aeropuerto y ofrece hermosas vistas al océano y a la isla de Fuerteventura. Los jugadores de golf de todos los niveles podrán disfrutar de una jugada agradable, aunque a veces puede el viento podrá aumentar el nivel de dificultad. Si prefiere practicar un poco antes de entrar en el campo de golf, podrá hacerlo en el Pitch & Putt Hesperia Playa Dorada, a pocos minutos de las famosas Playas de Papagayo.

Lanzarote Golf befindet sich in der Nähe des Flughafens und bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf das Meer und die Insel Fuerteventura. Ein angenehmer Golfplatz für jedes Niveau, wo der Wind manchmal ein zusätzliches Hindernis bietet. Wenn Sie lieber noch ein bisschen üben wollen, gibt es dafür den Pitch & Putt Hesperia Playa Dorada, nur wenige Minuten von den goldenen Sandstränden von Playas Papagayo entfernt.

LA GOMERA: SMALL ISLAND, BIG GOLF COURSE

La Gomera may be the second smallest island of the Canary Islands, but its golf course Tecina Golf is truly spectacular. It was designed by the famous golf course architect Donald Steel. You will start playing in the mountains, where you will find endemic Canarian flora in an arid landscape. The golf course descends and the longer you play, the vegetation will become more exuberant and full of exotic trees. A highlight is hole 10, that is located at the edge of a valley elevated over the rest of the golf course. From here you can enjoy beautiful views of the ocean and the landscape. It is also a great challenge as you will have to calculate the distance exactly in order to get the ball in the right place.

La Gomera es la segunda isla más pequeña de las Islas Canarias, pero su campo de golf Tecina Golf es verdaderamente espectacular. Fue diseñado por el famoso arquitecto de campos de golf Donald Steel. Comenzará a jugar en las montañas con un paisaje árido con flora endémica canaria. El campo de golf desciende y la vegetación es cada vez más exuberante y llena de árboles exóticos. Se debe destacar el hoyo 10, que se encuentra en el borde de un valle elevado sobre el resto del campo de golf. Desde aquí se pueden disfrutar de hermosas vistas del océano y al paisaje. También es un gran reto, ya que tendrá que calcular exactamente las distancias con el fin de conseguir que la pelota aterrize en el lugar adecuado.
